The WWI Aero Builders Club is an educational
project of The Illinois Aviation Museum at
Bolingbrook.

This is a hands-on experience that is available to
any area high school age student.  Club members,
under direction of experienced airplane builders,
build an actual flying airplane. The club’s initial
project is to build a WWI ¾ scale Fokker E-III.

below.
Teams are limited in size so members can have a lot of hands-on experience. Each project is funded by special donations.

A special thank you, covering for the Fokker and the Jungster II project donated by Stewart Systems

Now completed, the airplane will be placed on
display and flown at special museum events.

The club membership will be expanded for
other projects. While the initial builder’s team
members are all high school age, an adult
team will be added in the near future.
