Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport has been a part of the area’s history since Oliver Boyd Clow first built his
grass airstrip here in the 1950’s. Since that time it has undergone changes and growth, and in 1989 Clow was named
the best privately-owned, public use airport in Illinois. In 1998, the airport was sold to a developer. On its way to
becoming shopping centers and another subdivision, the airport was acquired by the Village of Bolingbrook in 2004.
Today, this airport is host to over 70,000 take-offs and landings annually, and is now home to the Illinois Aviation
Museum at Bolingbrook.
Manned entirely by volunteers, the Museum has been in existence since 2004, working out of a 6000 sq. foot
renovated hangar at Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport. However, it is already well on its way to growing into
an 100,000 sq. foot facility planned at the airport entrance.
Please take a moment to learn more about the museum and our plans and please consider how you can best support
the Illinois Aviation Museum at Bolingbrook. With your help, the Museum will continue to grow and enhance the
quality of life in our entire area.
The Illinois Aviation Museum at Bolingbrook volunteers thank you for your consideration.
